With growing demand for energy resources on a worldwide basis that has driven the development of the liquid natural gas industry over the past thirty years.

The discovery of deep water offshore gas reserves and the expansion of the market in the USA and Asia Pacific are the catalysts for a cost effective supply chain that has evolved to include LNG facilities, shuttle tankers and onshore terminals.

Offshore loading situations become complex when both the LNG terminal or liquefaction plant and LNG tanker are moving exyensively and independently. The transfer system must maintain established high standards in a safety critical industry.

The traditional industry-wide transfer system involves articulated loading arms with swivel joints accommodating motion between the terminal dockside and the tanker. Developing a design to absorb more than the mildest 6 degress of movement makes this method cost prohibitive.

Our Application Engineering Department continues to be a leader in innovative hose technology with over one hundred years of combined experience, research and data. Our engineers encompass many design issues such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and makes use of Quality Systems, such as APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), etc.

Our flexible composite hoses which are widely used in the offshore transfer of refined oil and cryogenic gases, coupled with the continuing development of the LNG flexible hose system initiated by TIFT-Compoflex as early as the 1970's was developed further in the 1990's.

AmniTec was selected by ExxonMobil to conceive and develop a larger diameter composite hose for LNG transfer.

AmniTec's superbly engineered product results from innovative design, exhaustive prototype testing and a uniquely valuable partnership with customer and test specialists on hand.
